RegenRadar Live NL is a product of Deep Orbit B.V., based in the Netherlands. We respect the privacy of all users and only process the data necessary for the app to function properly.

1. What data is processed?
RegenRadar Live NL does not collect personal data that can be directly linked to an individual user.
The app may process the following non-personal data, solely for technical operation and statistics:
a) Device and usage data
This data is processed automatically by components such as Firebase, Google Play Services (Android), or Apple platform services (iOS):
- Device model, operating system version
- App performance (e.g., loading errors, crashes)
- App interactions (e.g., screen views)
This data is processed anonymously and in aggregate.
b) App instance ID / device identifiers
Some SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) use an app instance ID to group statistics and crash reports. This ID is not personal, is not linked to a profile, and is not used for tracking outside our app.
c) Location (optional)
If you grant permission, the app uses your approximate location to show rain radar information near you. This location:
- is not stored,
- is not shared with third parties,
- is only used locally for weather information.
2. What is this data used for?
The data is used solely for:
- Displaying rain radar, showers, and forecasts
- Improving app performance
- Resolving technical issues (crash reports)
- Producing anonymous statistics (e.g., number of active users)
We do not build user profiles, do not perform tracking, and do not use data for personalized advertising.
3. Is data shared with third parties?
No.
RegenRadar Live NL does not sell or share personal data with third parties.
Our app does use technical services that process data on our behalf, such as:
- Firebase Analytics (anonymized statistics)
- Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports)
- Google Play Services (Android)
- Apple platform services (iOS)
- Weather APIs (such as Foreca) for radar data
These parties do not receive personal data and do not have access to location, unless strictly necessary for the service to function. All data is transmitted via encrypted connections (HTTPS).
4. Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data against loss and unauthorized access. All communication between the app and our servers or external APIs is encrypted.
5. Children
RegenRadar Live NL is intended for users aged 18 and older and does not contain content specifically directed at children.
6. User rights
Because we do not collect identifiable personal data, there is no directly attributable information that can be viewed, corrected, or deleted. However, users can always:
- Change location permission via device settings
- Clear app data via device settings
