This single document contains two complementary privacy notices. The Website Privacy Notice governs your use of the public website, browser based editor and developer portal available at https://mondri.ai. The App Privacy Notice applies when you access Mondri AI through our iOS, Android or desktop applications. The two notices express the same commitments but are phrased for their specific contexts.
A. Website Privacy Notice
1. Who we are
Mondri AI B.V. (referred to as "Mondri AI," "we," "us," or "our") operates an online AI art generator and visual communication platform (the "Web Service"). This notice explains how we handle the personal data we collect through the Web Service and associated resources.

3. How we use your data
We process personal data to:
- Provide the Web Service—authenticate you, render designs, save projects;
- Remember your settings and personalise content;
- Analyse and improve features, develop new ones and fix bugs;
- Send communications—transactional emails, product update messages and, where permitted, marketing offers (you control these in §8.2);
- Secure the platform—fraud detection, abuse prevention and enforcing our Terms of Use;
- Comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.
4. Analytics & tracking technologies
We use first party and third party cookies as well as Microsoft Clarity session recording to understand how visitors navigate the site. Non essential cookies and Clarity recording begin only after you click "Accept" on our cookie consent banner. You can change your preference at any time via the banner's "Settings" link.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Our primary grounds are contract performance, legitimate interests (product security, improvement), consent (analytics, marketing) and legal obligation.
6. Sharing & disclosure
We disclose data:
- to vetted service providers (cloud hosting, analytics, email, payments) under data processing agreements;
- to competent authorities or courts when legally required;
- to a successor entity in case of merger, acquisition or insolvency;
- otherwise only with your explicit consent.
7. International transfers
Where personal data leaves the EEA/UK we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

9. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal, accounting and audit duties. Backups are deleted or anonymised after 12 months.
10. Security
Protections include TLS in transit, AES 256 at rest, role based access, regular penetration tests and security awareness training. In the unlikely event of a data breach we will notify regulators and affected users within 72 hours when required by law.
11. Refund & billing terms
The following terms apply to purchases made on the Web Service and are incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use.
- Discontinuation of Services We may discontinue the Web Service but will give at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid, unused fees.
- Billing You agree to provide accurate payment details. Subscription fees are charged automatically at the agreed interval until you cancel. You are responsible for applicable taxes; we collect tax where required.
- Service credits Certain features can be prepaid via service credits, subject to the Service Credit Terms displayed at purchase.
- Cancellation Cancel at any time in Account → Subscription. Fees already paid are non refundable except as required by law (e.g., mandatory cooling off periods in the EU).
- Price changes We may revise prices and will email you at least 30 days in advance. New prices apply on your next renewal; you may cancel before the change takes effect.
12. Third party links
Our site may offer links to external pages we do not operate. Their privacy practices are their own; please review those notices.
13. Updates
We will post any material change on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Where changes are significant we will notify you by email or an in product banner.

B. App Privacy Notice
(Applies when you install or use the Mondri AI iOS, Android, Windows or macOS app.)
1. Scope & acceptance
By installing the Mondri AI application you accept this notice. Terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Use.
2. Information collected through the app
- Account & profile data – same as §2 of the Website notice.
- On device content – images, text or media you select for generation or editing. Processing occurs locally where possible; cloud transfers are encrypted.
- Device identifiers – Apple IDFA, Android Advertising ID, push token, OS version, device model.
- App analytics – installation timestamp, feature engagement, crash diagnostics via App Store Connect / Google Play Console.
- Approximate location – derived from IP address for regional compliance and local pricing.
3. Purposes of processing
- Deliver core functionality (image generation, project sync);
- Maintain and improve stability and performance;
- Send in app and push notifications (disable anytime in OS settings);
- Personalise templates and tutorials;
- Show limited contextual advertising if you use the free tier.
4. Microsoft Clarity session recording & consent
We record anonymised in app sessions via Microsoft Clarity solely to evaluate usability. Sensitive fields are masked. Opt out in Settings → Privacy → Analytics.
5. Data sharing, transfers, security & retention
Same protections as §§6–10 of the Website notice apply to the app.
6. Refund & billing terms
All purchases made through the app stores are handled by Apple or Google. Their refund policies apply in addition to Mondri AI's terms (§11 Website notice). Subscriptions started on the web follow web billing rules.
7. Marketing & tracking choices
- Push notifications – disable in OS settings.
- Advertising ID reset / limit ad tracking – available in Android/iOS settings.
- Email marketing – see §8.2 Website notice.
8. Children's privacy
The app is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we learn we have collected such data we will delete it.
9. Changes & contact
Material updates are listed in the app store version history and signposted on first launch after an update. Contact details are identical to §14 of the Website notice.
